Allen’s brief for Ira Losco’s Promotional Photography 2009 was simple… a more mature image …up to international standards.
Shot on location at Allen’s studio in Rue d’Argens, over the course of a full day day. It was a lighthearted shoot with Clinton of Hair Factory doing an excellent job with Ira’s hair and Diane Nickolic the make-up (which Allen described as stunning). Allen tried to create as many different styles as possible within one shoot. Howard, Ira’s manager (Jagged House), Ira and Allen had discussed various mood boards and styling prior to the shoot to ensure a smooth, hassle free day. There were some lively discussions going on between everyone throughout the shoot, which made for a friendly, relaxed day with some superb results.
One more thing Allen must add – he doesn’t think he has ever seen so many pairs of shoes in his life! It’s not known exactly how many pairs Ira brought along… big ones… little ones… shiny ones… alas, only one pair made it into the final pictures. Who said these shoes were made for shooting?
